While at Dummit Fradin, I had the joy of creating videos like this weekly.
I did everything - directing, shooting, editing, color grading, audio, lighting, you name it.
I also co-wrote scripts and transformed a bare studio into a decked-out AV wonderland.
The main goal? SEO. Our captions were the unsung heroes, helping us rank higher in search results. And guess what? It worked!
Our clients loved our calming, high-quality videos, and our online presence grew. It was filmmaking meets marketing, and I'm proud of our success.
I've been involved with podcasting from its early stages. Seeing the rise of 'how-to' podcast shows and recognizing common issues in many podcasts, I toyed with an idea of my own: a show about podcasting.
However, during the development process, I found myself more interested in crafting the intro bumper than actually building the show itself. What you see here is a testament to that.
The concept behind this video is to visually illustrate the journey of an idea - how it blossoms in the podcaster's mind, travels through the podcast, and ultimately finds a home in the listener's ears.
The two major sources of inspiration for this piece were the fluid progression seen in James Bond intros and the stark simplicity of Soviet propaganda.
This fusion of influences has resulted in a uniquely stylish, memorable, and engaging video that I'm really proud of.
Welcome to "Lingeria", where we bring to life a quirky tale of a successful fantasy author unexpectedly trapped in his own world. It's as if George RR Martin found himself caught up in a 'Freddy's New Nightmare' scenario.
Our narrative was infused with a lively, cartoonish tone, thanks to the impeccable vocal artistry of Alex Folmar. His grasp of the comedic and satirical beats of the story brought out the essence of our vision, making every moment shine.
What I genuinely cherish about this project is its energy and the fun we had bringing it to life. It's a reflection of the vibrant spirit of the original material. And while our hopes for its full realization didn't pan out, the positive feedback from listeners has been deeply gratifying.
Dive in, and let the vibrant world of "Lingeria" captivate your senses.
Back in 2012, kinetic typography was taking the digital world by storm. Everyone was talking about it, especially with the rise of styles pioneered by brands like "Now This". Naturally, I wanted in. The canvas for my exploration? A captivating tale called "Operation Mincemeat".
Given a narrative packed with intrigue, I went to town with it - selecting an atmospheric electronic soundtrack, syncing each word to the rhythm, and making every detail resonate. The process was like choreographing a dance where words and beats moved in harmony.
Although this project never saw the spotlight it deserved, it remains a cherished piece of my creative journey. It's a throwback to when I was experimenting and pushing the boundaries of storytelling. Dive in, and you'll see a tale that's as much about WWII as it is about the art of visual narrative.
